Why don't you encourage your pupils to design their own poster?... [submit here]. The best entries will be included in the Kidsmart gallery.
I used Childnet's Kidsmart material in a my year 6 literacy hour, comparing the text for the yp's leaflet with that of the parent's. This was a really effective way of getting the message across as well as meeting the learning intention of the literacy hour. My pupils responded really positively, appreciating the "audience & purpose" of the two leaflets and giving me the opportunity to talk about how they could help their peers and parents get the messages. Currently there seems to be little "space" in the curriculum to teach the sort of life-skill issues which the leaflets address but by integrating them into other areas of the curriculum it is possible.
